Many organizations have taken the time over the years to recognize Militec Inc., especially numerous military units during recent wars. Below are some of these that have sent Militec command letters, certificates of appreciation, and other special mementos. The communications received from the field are treasured by Militec's staff. Since 1994, the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) has offered compassionate care to all those grieving the death of a loved one serving in our Armed Forces and has provided this support to over 50,000 surviving familiy members, Casualty Officers and caregivers.
As a result of MILITEC's support of troops in the field,TAPS presented the company with a mounted hand-embroidered version of their organizational logo.

For the second straight year, MILITEC served as a Gold Sponsor for the Virginia Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run. This year's annual event was run simultaneously at eight different venues throughout Virginia, as over 3,000 law enforcement officers carried the Special Olympics Flame of Hope on more than 2,000 miles of Virginia roads.

For his company's donations to the war effort, Russell Logan, right, Vice President of Waldorf-based MILITEC, received a hand-delivered award from Tom McKeon, President of the Army's 720th Military Police Battalion's reunion association. Defense Logistics Agency Gold Medal Award2004
Militec, Inc. was honored by the Defense Supply Center Richmond as one of the government's best suppliers at an Automated Best Value System award ceremony held during the center's annual business conference in June 2004.
Militec, Inc. accepted the gold medal form Michael J. Lyden, Rear Admiral, SC, USN, Commander, Defense Supply Center Richmond and Mary L. Saunders, Major General, USAF, Vice Director, Defense Logistics Agency.
The firm supplies MILITEC-1 Synthetic Weapons Lubricant to the Department of Defense and other government agencies.
Firms that qualify as Automated Best Value System medalists have met stringent quality and delivery requirements established by the Defense Logistics Agency. The Automated Best Value System is computerized system which collects a vendor's past performance data and translates it into a numeric score, ranging from zero to a perfect 100.
To be eligible, vendors must have shipped 10 or more contract lines for Defense Supply Center Richmond during a twelve-month rating period. To qualify for a gold medal, the contractor must have had a perfect score of 100. A score of 99.0 through 99.9 earned a silver; and those vendors with scores ranging from 98.0 through 98.9 were awarded bronze medals.
