Application & Directions for MILITEC-1 ®

MILITEC-1® can be used with petroleum, mineral, parasynthetic and synthetic oils and greases in the following applications and ratios for heavy equipment:

 Bulldozers • Backhoes • Road Graders • Buses • Track Vehicles • Forklifts • Cranes • Trucks • Vehicles • Railroad

Diesel and Gas Engines: Add 2 ounces per liter of engine displacement or two ounces per quart/liter of oil whichever is less for the first 15,000 miles (24,000 KM) or 500 operational hours. Add one ounce per liter of engine displacement or one ounce per quart/liter every 15,000 miles (24,000 KM) or 500 hours thereafter. Add MILITEC-1® every 1,000 hours of operation if the oil is not changed. Oil change and MILITEC-1® intervals can be extended if the recommended time for oil analyses indicate conditions "normal." 

Transmissions (Manual): Add 2 ounces per quart/liter of fluid every 1,000 hours of operation or 30,000 miles (48,000 KM). 
 
Transmissions (Automatic): Add 1 ounce per quart/liter of fluid every 1,000 hours of operation or 30,000 miles (48,000 KM). 
 
Differentials: Add 1 ounce per quart/liter of oil every 1,000 hours of operation or 30,000 miles (48,000 KM). 

Power Steering: Add 1 ounce per quart/liter of fluid every 1,000 hours of operation or 30,000 miles (48,000 KM). 
 
Wheel Bearings: Coat metal surface with thin film of MILITEC-1® before packing with grease containing 10% to 15% MILITEC-1® or use MILITEC-1® Grease. 
 
Gearboxes, Fluid Drivers, Speed Reducers: Add 2 ounces per quart/liter of primary lubricant every 1,000 hours of operation or 30,000 miles (48,000 KM). For large sumps with extra large oil reservoirs and oil coolers, add 1 ounce per quart/liter every 1,500 hours of operation. 
 
Air Compressors: Add 3 ounces per quart/liter of primary lubricant for the first 1,000 operational hours. Subsequent applications, add 1 ounce per quart/liter of primary lubricant. Apply each oil change or every 1,000 hours whichever is greater, not to exceed 1,500 operational hours. 

Refrigeration, Air Conditioners: Add 1/4 ounce per ton of refrigeration capacity. 
 
Hydraulics: Add 8 ounces to every 5 gallons of hydraulic fluid every 1,000 hours of operation. 
 
Metal Working Applications: Apply a film to all metal working surface zones. 
 
Soluble Oil Fluids: Add 10% to fluid; top off fluid ratios add 5%. 

Chains, Couplers: Apply a film to all metal working surface areas.
